"Foxy", the female Fox Squirrel was brought to the Peace River Wildlife Center on February 11th, 2011 as a tiny infant with multiple health problems. She was on numerous medications for weeks requiring that she be handled multiple times daily. Since Fox Sqirrels are rarely seen in this area, she was unfortunately not raised with others of her own kind as we prefer to do. As is easily the case with certain species, she became habituated to humans. Her chances of survival in the wild are drastically diminished.

Be sure to stop by the Squirrel Habitat and see our Fox Squirrel, "Foxy" on your next visit
